A few reminders for parents

It is likely to be chilly most mornings, but 2-5 year olds will still go outside if the temperatures are reasonable! Please send a jacket to class.

We are also seeing an uptick in illnesses. If your child has been sick 24 hours prior to church, or is showing any signs of illness (runny nose, cough, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.) please keep them home.

Advent Resources

Book:
The Christmas Promise (Tales that Tell the Truth) by Allison Mitchell
God kept His promise from a long time ago to send a King. “He would be different. He would be a new king; a rescuing king; a forever king!” Tells the Christmas story and connects Jesus’ birth to the promise. There are lots of “kings in the world, but God sent the greatest King of all!”
Free Devotional:
The Biggest Story’ Christmas Devotional  (with Printable Ornaments)
Take a journey through the Bible this December with the help of stories from The Biggest Story Bible Storybook, and prepare your family for the birth of Jesus the Savior! Read about significant events and people throughout redemptive history that ultimately point to the one who would come, once and for all, to crush the snake and deliver us from sin. One final announcement

This December we will be having two modified family worship gatherings. On December 24th and December 31st we will have classes for children ages three and under. Children ages four and up will attend the worship gathering with their parents. You are welcome to keep your toddlers in service with you for family worship if you desire, but for this holiday season we wanted to offer the option to have younger children cared for in their classrooms. We appreciate and welcome your feedback as we explore the best ways to share in family worship in our new location. If you have questions or feedback you can reach out to Jamie at jamie.nieman@mercyview.com.
